This Halloween, our friends and neighbors in West Maui are gathering in a beautiful celebration of community and hope. On Friday, October 31 from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m., Lahaina Strong will host the second annual “Mākeke” at the Ka La‘i Ola Community (348 Wahikuli Rd) — a place designed for healing, connection and aloha spirit.

Expect family-friendly fun: a tent-or-treat experience, a keiki costume contest, jumping castles, balloon twisting, magic show, live music, local vendors and lots of delicious ʻono food.
For anyone renting with us and thinking of exploring beyond Kīhei for the evening, this event is a wonderful chance to engage with Maui’s spirit of togetherness, support the community’s renewal, and enjoy festive Halloween vibes in the heart of Lahaina. There will be parking at the Lahaina Civic Center North lots and shuttle service from 4:15 to 9:00 p.m. (please respect resident lots and use designated drop-off).
Whether you’re visiting for a few days or live here, consider stopping by and being a part of something meaningful — because here at Kihei Rent A Car, we believe your journey on Maui is more than just the destination—it’s about connection, community, and the aloha that surrounds us.

Mahalo and see you out there!
