There was a pink glow outside this morning that seeped inside the house. We were drawn outside to the most stunning, 360 degrees of pink sunrise sky. The sun’s morning light was just a sliver aiming down to the south shore, and the panoramic colors were a true gift for several minutes.

You don’t necessarily need to go all the way up to the 10,000 feet high summit of Haleakala to see a beautiful sunrise. Other ideas are: plan a night in Hana, drive to Paia Town early in the morning, or just see what arrises as the sun comes up over the crater while standing on the beach in Kihei.
