One of the frequently asked questions we get from our car rental customers is: “Where can we buy some groceries nearby?”. Not long ago there were only 2 options in south Maui. Today there are several good choices for those who don’t want to go back to Costco, which is right next to the airport in Kahului.
The grocery stores that are closest to our Kihei office are:
Safeway: Safeway is a well-known chain of grocery stores. They offer a variety of products, including fresh produce, meat, and household items.
Times Supermarket: Times Supermarket is a local chain that often provides a range of grocery products. This is a smaller grocery store with a laid back island feeling. Their selection is smaller than Safeway but they have some good sales and prices.
Just a few blocks south of Kihei Rent A Car is:
Foodland: Foodland is another local grocery store chain in Hawaii. They are known for offering a selection of local and international products.
