Laʻakea Village invites the Maui community and visitors to join in the fun at the Laʻakea Village Fall Festival, taking place on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 639 Baldwin Ave., Pāʻia.
This family-friendly event will showcase the spirit of aloha with live music, local vendors, delicious food, and exciting raffle prizes throughout the day.
Music lovers will enjoy performances from three talented local bands, Geri Valdriz and the Kika Kila Band, Simple Pleasures and Kula Kats. The festival will feature a variety of local vendors offering Maui-made crafts, food and wellness products. Food options include boxed lunches from Maui Cookie Lab, as well as gourmet hot dogs and shaved ice from Roaddogs Maui.
The Laʻakea Country Store will also be open, offering a range of Laʻakea-made products that the entire family will enjoy. Exciting raffle prizes will be given out throughout the day including gift certificates to 808 Deli, items from Mandala, and a goodie basket from the Laʻakea Country Store.
Lahaina Cannery will hold its annual Halloween Spooktacular event on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 3 to 6 p.m. inside the Cannery.
The free, family-friendly event will feature face painting, balloon twisting, keiki crafts, and center wide trick-or-treating. Plus, be sure to look out for Glinda The Good Witch and The Wicked Witch for photo ops, and Cynful Sweets Treats who will be on hand with treats for purchase like delicious caramel apples, cotton candy and more.
Keiki and families, residents and visitors alike, are encouraged to enter the costume contest with prizes awarded in categories of 0-2 years, 3-5 years, 6-10 years and family. A grand prize of two roundtrip tickets on Alaska Airlines will be awarded to the overall winner. Registration for the costume contest is from 3 to 4 p.m.
The Shops at Wailea is welcoming families for an afternoon of spooky fun at its “Keiki Halloween” event on Sunday, Oct. 27, from 3 to 7 p.m.
The celebration offers an array of activities for children of all ages, including a costume contest, balloon animals, a magic show and center-wide trick-or-treating at participating merchants.
The festivities kick off with event registration from 3 to 4:30 p.m., available on-site or in advance via Eventbrite. Families are encouraged to register early to secure their place in the costume contest, scheduled from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Online registration is recommended.
Participants can showcase their creative costumes in various categories, including ages 0-2, 3-5, 6-10, ‘ohana (family), and even a special category for pets. Only one category is permitted for each costume. Prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place in each category, with the grand prize winner receiving two round-trip tickets courtesy of Alaska Airlines, valid for any destination they serve.
Brenton Keith & His Bag O’ Tricks will perform an entertaining magic show from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the Lower Valley Performance Area. Keiki can also enjoy balloon animals from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Middle Valley, in front of Rip Curl.
Guests are invited to trick-or-treat throughout The Shops from 3 to 7 p.m. Participating merchants with Halloween-themed balloons will welcome keiki to explore the center in their costumes and collect treats along the way.
