This April, Maui Gold Pineapple is offering a unique Farm and Feast Experience, combining an educational farm tour with a gourmet dining event at Hāli‘imaile General Store. This exclusive opportunity is available on select Tuesdays and Fridays at 3:30 p.m., specifically on April 8, 11, 15, 18, 22, 25, and 29. Reservations can be made at MauiPineappleTour.com.
The experience begins with a guided tour of the Maui Gold Pineapple farm, where guests will learn about the pineapple’s growing cycle, hand-harvesting techniques, and the fruit’s historical significance on Maui. Participants will have the chance to taste freshly cut pineapple straight from the fields and will receive a complimentary pineapple to take home.
Following the farm tour, attendees will enjoy a four-course farm-to-table meal at Hāli‘imaile General Store. The menu features dishes such as braised pork belly bao buns, an Upcountry farm salad, and entrée options including mojo roasted chicken, coconut curry, Korean barbecue short ribs, and macadamia nut-crusted mahi mahi. The meal concludes with the restaurant’s signature pineapple upside-down cake.
Todd Domeck, owner of Maui Gold Pineapple, describes the event as an immersive journey into the world of pineapple, offering guests a comprehensive experience from field to table. The three-and-a-half-hour tour is located at 870 Hāli‘imaile Rd. Tickets are priced at $155 for children ages 3-12 and $195 for those 13 and older. Please note that the experience is not ADA-accessible.
For our Kihei Rent A Car customers looking to explore more of Maui’s rich agricultural heritage, this Farm and Feast Experience offers an unforgettable adventure into the heart of the island’s pineapple industry.
