This morning, January 10, 2025, many Kihei residents and visitors woke up to an unexpected power outage. Last night’s storm brought heavy rains, gusty winds, and lightning, which caused significant damage to power lines in the area. Hawaiian Electric crews have been working tirelessly since dawn to restore power across the island, with Kihei being one of the hardest-hit regions.
