Limited commercial boat operations have resumed at Lahaina Small Boat Harbor as of December 15, 2025 — the first time since the devastating wildfires of August 2023. This marks an important step in the ongoing recovery and revitalization of West Maui’s economy and tourism industry.
Four companies are currently operating from the harbor, with more expected to reopen in early 2026. Because some infrastructure is still being restored, boat tours and charters are running during daytime hours only (8 a.m.–6 p.m.), and guests should follow designated loading/unloading areas as access continues to be phased in.
