Maui isn’t just beach sunsets and winding coastal roads (though we love those too). It’s also a living, breathing cultural tapestry — and one of the best ways to experience that is through Hawaiian music that connects heart, history, and place.
The cherished Hawaiian Music Series has returned to Lahaina for its 18th season, now hosted on the scenic lawn of Waiola Church at 535 Waineʻe Street. This free, family-friendly monthly concert series is made possible thanks to the Lahaina Restoration Foundation and the Maui County Office of Economic Development.
The next performance is set for Thursday, February 26, 2026, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. and stars acclaimed Maui native Kepa Revelle-Aikala. Kepa is a deeply rooted Hawaiian musician with ties across the island — from Pukalani to Makena — and his music is a heartfelt tribute to his kūpuna (ancestors) and ʻāina (land).
Bring your blankets, mats, or low-back beach chairs and settle in on the grass under the sky. There’s free parking on site, with extra spaces offered by the neighboring Lahaina Hongwanji Mission.

More than just a concert, the Hawaiian Music Series is a living tradition. Its return to Lahaina reflects both cultural perseverance and the community’s ongoing journey of restoration and togetherness. What began nearly two decades ago continues to be a place for people to gather, share stories, and uplift one another through the power of song.
So cruise over from Kihei, park your wheels, and soak in an island evening that’s rich with culture, story, and rhythm.
